There’s a whole new generation of thrash out there these days, and a lot of you that would really enjoy it are completely missing the boat on it. So many people that I hear from are always talking about the resurgence of great bands like Exodus, Testament or Death Angel (which, honestly, have been excellent for all mentioned), but very few ever talk about the new bands creating this kind of music today. It’s a shame too, becaus there are some really great ones out there. Bands like Municipal Waste, Lazarus AD and Warbringer are all revitalizing thrash with a greatness in the sound that hasn’t really been heard in the past 20 years by new acts OR the established veterans. To me though, the best of the pack might be Colorado band Havok.
